Kevin Douglas Grant

Kevin Douglas Grant is the Senior Editor of Special Reports at GlobalPost, where he produces foundation-supported reporting series from countries around the world.

He holds an M.A. in Online Journalism from the University of Southern California's Annenberg School, where he was a Dean's Scholar and the founding Executive Editor of Annenberg's thriving 24/7 news organization Neon Tommy.

Grant is the former Operations Director of semantic news analyzer Inform.com. He holds a B.A. in International Studies from DePaul University and has appeared on Salon.com, American Public Media, National Public Radio, Religion News Service, Memeburn, Huffington Post, LA Daily News, Columbia Journalism Review, PBS NewsHour and Truthdig.

He is the winner of a 2013 Society of American Business Editors and Writers Best in Business Award, a 2013 Knight Grant for Reporting on Religion and American Public Life, 2014 Association of Health Care Journalists' First Place Award for Excellence in Health Care Journalism as well as a 2014 ICFJ International Reporting Fellowship for Promoting Excellence in Global Coverage of Religion.

Grant is also a founding member of The GroundTruth Project, a foundation-supported initiative dedicated to training the next generation of foreign correspondents in the digital age.
